Sallie Haugen DeReus lives on the DeReus family farm near Pella, lowa. She has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Art. Over the years, she has used her artistic skills in many different mediums. This is her fir. reandering into book illustration. Sallie has a love for the Pella Historical Museums and local Dutch history. She has spent many hours voluntee and promoting the museums. Sallie also has a great love of the outdoors and included animals and flowers in her illustrations that existed on the Iowa prairie in 1847 and can still be found in our Iowa landscape.
